Mourinho’s lucrative endorsement deals
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has added more ‘silverware to his cabinet’ by signing endorsement deals with luxury watch brand Hublot and sports car manufacturer Jaguar ahead of his side’s Champions League showdown with Galatasaray.
Mourinho yesterday attended a tour of the Hublot factory before being unveiled as their latest brand ambassador via the company’s official twitter account.
“First, I am a family man and then a football manager, but somewhere on the list of my many passions- I am a watch fanatic!” said Mourinho.
“I am honoured to be part of a brand that upholds such similar values to me. Weather it is the strong family philosophy, the desire to giveback to the community, or the great technical land mechanical aspects of each and every watch, the more I learn about Hublot, the more proud I become to be their newest ambassador!”
Mourinho has also joined Jaguar as a global ambassador for its new F-Type Coupe sports car.
As part of the agreement the Portuguese manager will receive a top of the range £85,000 F-Type R Coupe when they are released in the UK next month.
Speaking at the car’s official UK launch at Canary Wharf, London, Mourinho said: “I made my players a bit jealous because I took the car to the training ground.
“It was a good feeling. I love to drive it.”
Jeremy Hicks, Jaguar Land Rover UK’s managing director, added: “With the F-Type Coupe, our designers and engineers have created the ultimate expression of Jaguar DNA; beautiful design combined with immense dynamic performance.
“I am sure all our customers will be as excited as our new ambassador Jose Mourinho at the prospect of driving the new F-Type Coupe.”
